As a songwriter/artist myself, I know how daunting it can be to try to find the right studio, the right producer, the right players, all at the right price to make your songs a reality. From my home studio, I create professional arrangements that will showcase your songs in a compelling way from start to finish, putting my 22 years of experience to work for you and your art. Your ideas and inspiration, coupled with my training and versatile background, will make your songs truly shine.

Mixing & Mastering

If your songs are tracked, and you’re looking for someone to balance and bring them to life, I can help. A great song needs a great mix. One that’s clear, punchy, and polished, that will hold up and sound great no matter where it’s played. I have spent the last decade learning and practicing the endless subtleties and nuances of mixing; let me use what I’ve learned to present your songs in the best light, and give you a radio ready song that can compete with the biggest names out there.

Vocal Tuning

If you’ve got your tracks recorded and have already lined someone up to mix them, but need a polished, pitch-perfect vocal, I can deliver exactly that. I am very well versed in Melodyne, the industry standard for natural sounding pitch correction. I will take the extra time and care to go in and tune each individual note as it needs, to perfectly tune your vocals without it sounding unnatural or robotic. No one will ever hear that it’s been tuned- just a great performance taken to the next level.

Video Production

Having great songs just isn’t enough anymore; musicians have become brands. Like any other business, they need a great visual presence to connect with present and future fans online. To help with that, I’ve partnered with local videographer and editor Megan Garner, and am now offering video production packages to make sure you look and sound your best. You’ll get a freshly tracked, intimate recording, and a fully edited, well-produced performance video to promote your next single to the world.

About Nathan

I’m Nathan Cogan, and I’m a musician/producer/mixing engineer living in Nashville, Tennessee.

I’ve lived and breathed music my entire life, and have been lucky enough to make it my career for the past decade. In that time, I’ve filled just about every role that a musician can, from touring with Taking Back Sunday, to writing and performing songs with my band Fox Harbor, to producing and recording other artists, bringing their artistic vision to life. These experiences have helped me become uniquely attuned to the variety of skills required to make a successful recording. Because I’m a songwriter and instrumentalist myself, who also knows the art of producing, I’m able to hear the finished product and see the end goal before I ever hit record.

I want to use the skills I’ve honed to help you realize your songs and let others hear them the way you do. I’m looking forward to working with you.
